Temple of Life

We sat by the fire
United in song
Under the moonlight
All night long

We sang 'Halleluyah'
For the joy of it all

And out on the water
A caroling moon
Sings just a sweet
Heavenly tune

There's peace in Gods forest
The temple of life

Halleluyah
Halleluyah
We looked to the sky
Deep into heaven's eyes
Halleluyah

And back in the city
I'm losing control
I need a place
To ease my soul

There's peace in God's temple
The temple of life

Halleluyah
Halleluyah
We looked to the sky
Deep into heaven's eyes
Halleluyah

Halleluyah
Halleluyah
We looked to the sky
Deep into heaven's eyes
Halleluyah

Halleluyah
Halleluyah
We looked to the sky
Deep into heaven's eyes
Halleluyah

Thank you Jesus
we praise your name
thank you lord
Halleluyah

Dream

My world has been shaken, not by an earthquake. It has been shaken from within. I'm in a state of disbelieve. I don't understand fully the situation. It is like a dream. As if we were having a great time yesterday but today all is taken away. The world is a cruel place. The dark force behind it is cruel. A murder.

Christ has risen. The dream is infact reality. Of all the things that could happen, why has it got to do with precious souls? We are made to live forever, rejoicing or suffering. Souls live forever. The focus of the forces at work. Christ has risen. We are risen. But the coffin is still wide open. We could die anytime. Caution. I claim the victory over death in Jesus name.

My friends. All are dear to me even though we don't meet and speak often. Friendship last a life time. Treasure your life. Seek to walk not in the counsel of man but of God. The choice is yours to make. Your First Love awaits you. An honest cry is all that it takes.

Our hope

Our hope lies in God.
In man we loose our hope.
Hope is trusting God.
Trusting Him for things not seen.

Faith strengthens our hope.
Faith gives us hope.
Great is Thy faithfulness.
Never disappoints.
Never fails.

God is our hope.
In Him we have faith.
In Him we trust.
In Him we succeed.
In Him all things are possible.

We may loose a battle.
HE will win the WAR.

Battle Field

Life is like a battle field.
Where shots are fired at us.
We evade them.
Sometimes they hit us.
Injuring us.
Hurting us.
Demotivating us.
Forcing us out of the battle field.
A wounded soldier.
Not fallen.

Check this out!

Oldest known Bible to go online. Haven't read the whole articel yet but maybe someone can read it and tell me what is it all about.

Hoax

The posting on MARS is a hoax it seems. The Star reported it and said that it is a hoax. So maybe we shouldn't trust the hype about seeing Mars. Well, I'm not interested in it because I've seen it before. Quite an experience, though. Well, always double check what you see or hear. Cheers! ciao...God bless

The Presence of God

What an awesome feeling. It is tangible. It is contageous. Something is happening. The earth is shaking. The ground beneath our feet is shaking. God is doing something miraculous in our midst. He is raising up a generation of people who have a hunger for Him. For God to do that, we must first empty ourselves of the unimportant things. Things that are not material to the development of God's kingdom. What are these? You search your heart and list it.

Planet Shakers concert was cool. Fantastic. Pastor Matt Garner was a cool man. He has an awesome voice, passion filled heart for Jesus and cool personality. What a package. Infact everyone of us is packaged very attractively and uniquely. Wouldn't you agree? If you don't you have a self esteem problem, you need prayer. Pastor Ben was another awesome character. He has a belly that makes skateboarding much easier. That's what he said.

Another fantastic character is found in the person of Pastor Mark. An Asian who lived in Malaysia before. He and the former two spoke and challenged me to empty myself, give my life to God, love Him unconditionally and selflessly and to worship God passionately. The other quiute and reserved one is Chad...he writes songs, produces them but God make those songs come to live.

Pastor Foo preached today. Preach it pastor, you are awesome. His message was clear and simple. The highlights were the spirit of faith, praise and prayer. I believe and hope that the message brought through him will stir up our passion for God's words and blessings upon our lives. God's promisses are Yes and our response should be Amen.

Shakers!

Introducing the Planet Shakers band all the from the land of Kangaroos and Koalas. If they are in the house, you gotta sing, shout and dance. Jumping around as if there was a "kangaroo anointing". That is probably the most cheeky introduction to the Planet Shakers. There wasn't any kangaroos or koalas killed in the process of bringing them here.

The church was pack to capacity. I couldn't move around freely, but I did worship God freely because He has set me free. There wasn't any "kangaroo anointing" but there was surely God's anointing. God was in the house. Prayed for a friend who was contemplating to come for healing of a broken heart. After the event, I receive a SMS containing a positive message. Hallelujah!

It was definately a night of harvesting. As more than a hundred young people came to know God. A hallelujah moment as Oprah would put it. Great to see people deiciding for their lives and greater that they had made the right decision. The journey for them has just begun. How about you? The preaching was awesome. Fantastic as Matt G would put it. So passionate and filled with the Holy Spirit.

How long more shall we live in our comfort zone? Do you not know that there are people out there who are longing to seek fulfillment but don't know where to find it? This generation must rise up and take on this challenge to share the amazingly humbling Good News. We are the Planet Shakers, mate. The salt is in the shaker. Unless someone shakes it, it will not come out. If it doesn't come out, how is the world going to be seasoned? If you do not shake the magnetic torchlight, there will be no light. Shake this nation, this continent and the world over for Christ!

A not so typical day

Today is some what different, infact very different from other days. Thursdays are my off day. I would normally go window shopping or catch a movie or have lunch with friends who want to go out with me. But today I didn't do any of those. After sending my bro to college, I went to the university. I decided to do my assignment instead but I forgot to bring the soft copy. How forgetful.

Jin Xiung, Grace Chua, Ah Mun, Jim, James Foo, Charmaine, Wei Chern and a few others were the people I met in uni. Basically I was at the upper foyer from the time I arrived until 1625. Teh came by to talk about his plans for the coming MUSA elections as he is running for the top post. I had tau fu fa for lunch. NOT ENOUGH!...consequence=very hungry.

Interestingly, I went to see Ong to ask for advice on applying to work as a research assistant. Ya, Philip a research assistant? No typo. Ong told it was quite an easy task. After all the benefits outweigh the consequences. Oh well, I met the lecturer and got the form. May start work next week. The weird thing is this, I'm a E-Commerce major, he is an economics lecturer and the research has to do with accounting. Monash is a messy, confusing place to study but what the heck. It pays rather well, RM7.50/hour which is much better than working as a waiter. On top of that I get to print my stuff for free!!!!, I'll get my own computer with high speed connection and in a room away from the others (who are competitors when it comes to computer in the labs). So should I take on this job? Very flexible working hours.

Pissed...

Freaking pissed! Sometimes I get really pissed. So pissed I refuse to talk but deep in me, I'm longing to burst out. Tonight I'm pissed. ONly for a while, though. Don't ask me why because I don't wanna bring it up since I've decided to forgive. Is it necessary to get angry?

I havent' gotten so angry for some time. Hmmm...is it telling me my patience is running thin? Maybe it is due to the stress from the never ending assignments. Yet I cannot participate in such outburst of anger. Well, I didn't, at least I think I didn't. Should I suppress my feelings so intensely that I don't get angry? No, if I do that, then life would be boring, meaningless.

I used to have a very bad temper. So bad that I hated it. So bad that I was on the verge of losing many friends. So bad that friends distant from me. It was detrimental. Now I can gladly say, it is different and I'm better...you be the judge. I'm feeling like normal now.

Phenomena

The Red Planet (MARS) is about to be spectacular! This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history.

The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again.
The encounter will culminate on
August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of - 2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. By August 27, Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. Mars will be easy to spot.

At the beginning of August it will rise in the east at 10p.m. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m. by the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30a.m. That's pretty convenient to see something that no human being has seen in recorded history. So, mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month.

Share this with your family, friends, children and grandchildren.

It's very late at night, too early in the morning. I've not been getting enough sleep for the past 3 days. On an average of 3-4 hours of sleep a day. So it's taking its toll on me. This is why I thought that I would just settle this posting by copying and pasting it. Well, it's an interesting phenomena. I saw the last one and I wouldn't want to miss this 'last' one. God bless

What a day...

What a day it was. I've never experienced this before. I went to visit Emmanuel together with Adrian and Jinny. Victor joined us just as we arrived. I wasn't shock to see Emmanuel's injuries, although it is quite severe. Maybe it was due to my other experiences with accident victims wih even more severe injuries, some deaths. Well, his face was quite badly injured while his left leg was broken at the tibia and fibula. He was clearly in pain.

We spend some time before I led them in a short prayer for Emmanuel. Just as we started praying I heard a thumping sound. I thought it was the kid from the next bed falling. No, it wasn't...It was Jinny and I wasn't too sure at that time what to do. I could 1)stop praying, 2)quickly end the prayer or 3)Stop and help her up. I think I made a wrong choice to continue praying and left her on the floor for a couple more seconds before we held her up on the chair.

The nurses came in, I would say they were quite fast to act, took her blood sample and checked her pressure. We were ask to wheel her to the emergency ward. The waiting started. The doctor wanted to ward her for observation but she opted to discharge from the hospital. She is fine now. Emmanuel should do well. He will recover soon. After all our God heals...by His stripes we are healed...

Road to Perfection

We were once a sinner. Lost and wrecthed. It was the amazing grace of God that gave us hope. The hope found in the Lord Jesus Christ. This hope never fades, never fails and never disappoints. Having found the confidence in God and with the faith in Him, I know that He is always there for me. Call Him Daddy, Dad, Papa, Abba, Father, God Almighty and other names, He still hears and answers.

He has always been there for me through thick and thin, sorrow and joy. I just can't fully or perfectly desribe the experience. I really do hope it doesn't only become an experience. All these times shared with Him should be regarded much more than just mere experiences. It is through these times, that I become stronger and grow in faith and confidence in my Abba.

This road to perfection isn't ending yet. I would like to quote my dear friend, Audrey, "Daddy's not finished with me yet". Yes, this is true. Since He still has to mould us, make us and perfect us, allow Him to do it. The choice is ours to make. There are two roads to take that would branch out. One is the wide and easy route, the other the narrow. Jesus said if we follow Him there are bound to be tough, sometimes very tough times but always live with the end in mind. We are made to worship God. Thus heaven bound. Don't be deceived and turn away. Come follow Jesus. He leads you to where all is perfect.

Why Mary and not Martha?

Why was it that Mary is said to have chosen the better choice and not Martha? Martha was serving Jesus when He entered into their house. Mary was seated at Jesus' feet listening to Him speak. Martha was busy serving Jesus. So why Mary and not Martha?

The core of this dispute is that there is a difference between serving God and getting involved in a ministry. In order to serve God, we ask Him what He wants of our lives not the other way around. By just doing a christian duty all because it part of the job specification that comes with the job title isn't service. It is merely carrying out a compulsary duty.

Luke 10:42b..."Mary hs chosen that good part" That good aprt refered in here is the very act of worship. Worship is broken down into 4 moe focused elements. Firstly, waiting on God-entwine oneself arou d the presence of God. Secondly, undistracted focus-what is your mind focused on? Thirdly, extravagent adoration of God-proskuneo (Greek) and Lastly, unconditional sacrifice to God. Worship is always extravagent and it is also sacrificial. Be a living sacrifice, worthy to be accepted.

Greedily Hazy

The HAZE is back after a while. What's wrong with our neighbour? Can't they ever learn not to pollute the air and consider their neighbours' well being? Irresponsible lot of people. The people who practice open burning. Stupid! This is first time I'm saying this word because I really can't stand this inconsiderate act.

The haze is so bad that visibility is so poor. Normally the Mesiniaga building could be seen from the Summit USJ-Kesas interchange but not anymore. Even the Jalan Kewajipan-NPE flyover cannot be seen. The greed, the money, the act of burning and the haze are interrelated in a cost and effect relation. In the neighbouring country, forest trees are fell and burned to make way for new oil palm plantations in the masses. This has effected in the worrying appearance of the haze in Malaysia and Singapore. Thus, supporting the phrase, money the root of all evil.

Human greed and the need to satisfy another need, want and desire becomes the underlying factor in the many problems that we come across today. I'm not saying the haze is only due to human factor but it is also the dry spell. Can human's be less greedy and more contended? I guess this is a question only God and every individual can answer.

a Little Less conversation

What makes a man a king? This is the question posed on the leaflet and the ticket of the August Rally play themed after the king of rock and roll, the Elvis Presley. The title, a Little Less Conversation became the focus of the entire play. Presented around the issues of self-esteem, identity and acceptance, the play focuses on the lives of John Soong, Anne Soong and Jo Soong. Mid-life crisis was the word used by John, lack of love, and dull husband-Anne and Jo-adult problems. All these are summarised as problems most people would have to face at any given point in their lives. Why are we different compared to the rest?

We, children of God the Father have the assurance that we are significant, in equal terms-important to Him who created us all. Therefore, He does know every pain and suffering, every sorrow and sadness (Pastor Daniel Ho, August 2005). I echo these words by our pastor. Trully, God knows. As he has also said, God will be there through thick and thin. Nothing is impossible for Him to perform. Allow God to work in your lives, my dear friends and readers. Let Jesus be the King of your lives and rock you!

Waste no more time...

The time was 1730 on a Saturday evening. Not the usual Saturday evenings. The haze that has been suffocating us for days was getting worse. Off I went to church with my bro, James. Well this isn't the important part. What is important is the message in church today.

Pastor Daniel Ho was preaching on Communicating the Gospel based on Paul's experience with the Athenians taken from Acts 17:16-34. Before I go on talking about the content preached, the praise and worship session was awesome. Allow me to repeat, AWESOME! I could feel God's tangible presence. Church was packed and people were worshipping.

Communicating the Gospel. We are all made to worship. No matter what or who we worship we will still seek to worship because we are made to worship. The question is, "Are you worshipping the right god?" The Gospel here refers to the Good News. The salvation that Christ brought to us all at a price He paid on the cross of calvary. He paid the ultimate price, once and for all for us to have the opportunity to live eternally and not suffer for eternity in the fiery lakes of hell. Isn't this a great news. A news no one should miss.

Day in day out, I hear people talk about the unreached, the lost. Why are they lost? More so , unreached. The problem lies with us, christians. Communicating the gospel to the people around us gives them the opportunity to come to know Christ personally. If no one or very few are sharing and evangelising, how many will receive the message. How many more will be saved? It will be a very saddening sight if many of our loved ones and others not known to us perish. The harvest is ready, but where are the workers? If we are willing, God is so much more willing and happy to equip us to do this commendable duty. All ye soldiers of God's army, get into position and execute this enduring rescue mission.

In God he trusts...

Tan Sri Francis Yeoh's proclaimation of the Good News in The Star (In God he trusts) on Sunday, July the 31st is such an encouragement to me. He has shown me that as Christians we should walk the talk and talk the walk. Not to be proud ofcourse but humbling ourselves to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ. Such great testimonies he has mentioned and I believe has touched many lives. If not, given them hope that comes from Jesus that all things are possible.

The day he took the step of faith was the day that God started working and investing in his life and the lives of his family members. Not forgetting the company and I would also say the employees. Working for a godly man like him must be a privilage and a blessing. As my CG member had raised the question of "Why aren't they Christian leaders in the marketplace?". Tan Sri Francis is one very good example of a Christian leader in the marketplace. Is one enough?

If he can trust God for big events in his life, we can also trust him for the little or bigger things in life. After all nothing is too big for our God! Let me end by saying, 'In God we trust!'.

Lack of sleep for the last ...years?
It has become a habit to sleep late.
That habit is taking its toll.
I feel sleepy at the wrong time.
Need to sleep early from tonight onwards.
See my pattern of blogging has changed.
A result of fatigue.
Lazy to type long sentences.
Dial-up sucks.
But I have to download 2 big PDFs
in order to do my tutorial.
It is taking ages.
Slower than waiting for someone not punctual.
Torture!

I shall sleep as soon as I complete my work, 12 o'clock?
