When was the last time you missed someone so much that you end up dreaming about the person?
Only the presence of the person will satisfy the feeling.

But, I rather be with the person everyday than to miss the person everyday...

Fast and Pray

First and foremost, Malaysia is celebrating its 50 years of independance. The 50 years of Merdeka is certainly something worth celebrating yet it should be our responsibility to fast and pray for this nation. The theme for this year's 40 days fast and pray is Church: The Transforming Agent. Just as the theme speaks volume of our purpose as a church in Malaysia, we should all rise in unity to pray for this nation. Fasting and praying goes hand in hand. The program starts on the 22nd of July and last all the way through to the 30th of August 2007. Do participate as this nation's future lies with what we do today.

Secondly, please pray for the captured Korean Christians and Germans in Afghanistan by the Taliban. For any updates please check your local or international news. Link to CNN.COM here.

Over-sensative

My Vios' engine could hardly sustain a normal running condition for the second time after purchasing it about 5 months ago. The first time was when I was working in JB. I drove through a big puddle of water caused by a thunderstorm. This time around, it happened in Sitiawan. I am back here because currently I am working in Ipoh (to be exact, somewhere near Jusco and the highway toll). I changed my honk but nothing was done to the original wiring.

So, I could be the very very unfortunate one who had purchased a defective Vios. My next car will very likely be an European make. Bye bye Toyota, you have disappointed me. No car is perfect but at least it should be good enough not to break down like this.

Anyone need a ride?

A "peek" into my life

So, life isn't all rosy and fun-filled, is it? My life has been tremendously roller coaster like until recently. I'll tell you a pictorial story of a little bit of my life. Let's skip the day I was born, toddler years ....let's start with teenage years where most of the drama took place.
Like my long hair (I can sense now that many would be laughing), days were long and dreaded them. My teenage years were just hippie like. Rebellious and full of dramas, both at home and elsewhere (where ever you can find me). My temper would erupt like a super volcano. Not a very nice scene. Like a roller coaster, occasionally I would be an "angel" (this must be a joke, but I am not laughing).
Life took a round about turn in the later part of my teenage years. Toppled over, my life seemed like it could do with an abrupt "full-stop". But life didn't just stopped there. There were just more things to be done. It wasn't worth stopping. I didn't attempt suicide, ok. Life was full of grey areas, some of which are still visible today but so much lesser.
Then, I met different group of new friends. I am just lazy to search for other pictures of friends. I'm so blessed to have different group of friends. I have learned a lot from them. So, what made life so meaningful and worth living for?
Vanity! All is vanity! That happens when I wanted life to be like I wanted it to be. Life is just not as orderly as the cutleries are arranged in the picture. But it is tough as steel. Stained from sin, I felt condemned, unworthy and guilty. Stained...then Jesus came and cleansed. Stainless now.
Hey, this story wouldn't be complete without a little bit more twist to it. What about love life Philip? I can't exactly tell how it is but what I can say is this; God is teaching us something new and our obedience to Him counts. She is amazing. Sounds cliche? hehe. I can't sum up how I feel since I knew her. Let's walk in God's will together...I hope we can write the next chapter of the story of life together.
Life is not always about the "overturned wheelbarrow". At times, it is like steel, tough as it may seem. We can only become tougher if we don't give up. Stainless because of Jesus. In the end, when we look back, when I looked back...I am contended. It is like a moment of "blowing bubbles". Fun...exciting yet challenging. Stick to Jesus. Never give up on yourself because He didn't.

Life is good

My friends, thank you for your concern. I am not doing badly. In fact I am doing fine. Sometimes what I type here are just my inner most thoughts and emotions. I may feel that way but it doesn't mean my world is actually crumbling. I see these as bits and pieces of building blocks to strengthen me and mold me into a person after The Porter's own will. No worries.

Transitioning

The Year of Transition of all sorts.
This year, the year of transition.

The year 2007 brings a tonne of new challenges.
The previous years too have its own set of challenges.
But this year's challenges are just different.
How am I going to face these challenges?
Will I take them on with courage or with trembling?
But what I know is that I should remain calmed in times of trials.

Certainly, having the peace of God helps...

CTOS?

Some minister who has nothing else better to do is condemning the services provided by CTOS Sdn. Bhd. If he has not been doing things that would reflect badly on him, why must he worry and kick up a fuss? Or just because 1/3 of MPs are listed there and there is fear of somewhat that one day people would know that their representative at parliament is a jerk and is of no good use but owing and cheating people of money for their selfish gains.

Why don't the government bring in the ISA to nab all those involved in collecting these information and also those who give out these information. I am sure many financial instituations, law firms (including his) and other institutions which hold important private information of the rakyat. This may very well include governmnet departments and bodies. Go nab all of them including yourself. Stupid!
