Political Tsunami

Learning about the massive yet embarrassing defeat suffered by BN in the 2008 General Election through the electronic media was such an exciting experience. Never have I been this excited about the overwhelming positive that the Barisan Rakyat received through the ballot box. The pendulum swung so quickly and strongly yesterday that the ruling coalition had barely enough time to pull many tricks. Stunned, left in their disbelief of the results flashing in their face, UMNO called for an emergency meeting in the wee hours of this morning. MIC lost all its leaders. Hence, there was no meeting. MCA is still in a daze-they have lost count of their defeat. One very suspicious incident caught the attention of many. Which is the almost 3000 ballot papers which were unreturned to the LUMUT constituency for counting. Are these postal votes that were missing? I leave it to you to imagine. Can someone please challenge this..Barisan Rakyat?

BN denied 2/3 majority. Lost 5 states (Perak, Penang, Kedah, Selangora and Kelantan[failed to wrestle back]) and one Federal Terriroty.

General Elections 2008

The voices of Malaysians will be heard loud and clear today. From fiery street ceramahs, house to house campaigning and finally the ballot box, Malaysians have cast their votes. However, what justifies their choice?

I think, any wise Malaysian will based their decision on the progress of the nation. Look back, assess the situation now and decide for the future...

Malaysian General Elections 2008

Wearing a sarong, parading his black songkok, the man who leads the country into slumber; shouts "Malaysia Boleh" without any fruitful implementations. Not so, he and his head honchos may rebut. What about the RM1 billion police wireless network contract awarded to Motorola in exchange for RM350 million "reinvestment" into Penang? Any 10 year old can tell you that that is a lost. We ended up with a deficit of RM650 million. Is Motorola such an important investor or is Malaysia seriously thinking about its incoherent yet bias policies?

We have a bunch(pun intended)of, not leaders but greedy hairy baboons directing the country as they desire. Where will we be in the year 2050? At 5.8% growth...as compare to China being 130% bigger than USA and Vietnam at 70% of UK's economic size (read The Star). So, how do you improve human capital yet rely on agricuture? I see another New Economic Policy, I see a deepening problem with racial segregation, I see the same situation the British created when they were colonising us. Malaysia could very well be like a biodegradable plastic bag - only good for a while.

Prove me wrong...whoever leads the country next...
