Regional Aerospace Centre

KUALA LUMPUR, Wed. - It would be a historic event in the midst of the government's bid to transform Malaysia into a developed nation. The Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr. Jamaluddin Jarjis will witness the signing of a memorandum of agreement between
Akriz Sdn Bhd and the Perak State Economic Development Corporation here today. The project is to cost RM100 million. It is expected to complete and "go live in the fourth quarter of 2007".

The Perak state government has set aside 13ha of land in Pengkalan Bharu Industrial Zone, near to the Lumut Naval Base. Along side this project, the Malaysian Defence University would also be built in Segari. All of which are in the vicinity of the Manjung district. This would be a catalyst to the growth in the Manjung district.
The Regional Aerospace Centre would also provide services in the following sectors; agriculture, military, marine, mining, security, and oil and gas industries.

Haha...how about my skills in writing in a newspapers report format. I was reading TheEdge business newspaper and came across this very informative and interesting article. A little intro to Pengkalan Bharu. It is a fishing village with majority population consisting of Malays. The nearest towns are Pantai Remis, Sitiawan and Taiping. Near this place is a coal powerplant and a natural gas powerplant. There is also a turtle hatchery in Segari, just beside the natural gas powerplant. This project costing RM100 million will certainly benefit many people in the vicinity. It is a good move to share this delicious pie with the locals. At least from my point of view, this would open the door for more FDIs. In view of the blessings that it brings, curse may tag along. I say this because if the investors are only interested in making money, then exploitation may occur. Pray for well planned growth and blessings from The Almighty.
