Cha'ah

A team comprising of DUMC and other church members left DSP (DUMC Sea Park) at around 0645 this morning for Cha'ah, Johor. The flood waters have subsided. Thus, only food and other essential items were distributed. We split into 3 teams led by the locals to various homes within the vicinity of the small town (no traffic lights). Ps. Steven of Holy Glory Church, some members (youths) and Madam Tan were of great help. Not only did we distribute the items but we also got to hear about the people's life story, drink the best coffee down south and share God's love with them. It has been a rewarding experience, no, a must-cherish-moment. Ps. Tan Moy How led the team.

Additional info: Cha'ah is about half an hour away from Yong Peng, Johor. Its population is mostly Chinese and Indian with not as many Malays. Some areas experienced flood water levels up to 5ft or so. Help was given to mostly single mothers.
