Boredom

Since moving to Skudai, Johor, I've been deprived of Internet connection. Internet has become a need? I don't think so. Maybe a little or a bit more depending on your dependancy on it. For me, I don't really need to use the Internet. It has become apart of life. That is worst. It has become a habit. A desperation. I', so bored here in Skudai only at nights. I don't do clubbing, pubbing, barring or any of those related things. I am so bored to the extent that I don't know what to do.

Having a Vietnamese colleague tagging along where ever I go isn't helping at all. I miss my personal space. I even have to tell him to not come too close. I understand that in Vietnam (and other less individualistic countries) people walk about with their shoulders rubbing while the worst I've heard and seen are the Bangladeshis (they hold hands). I had to tell him the brutal truth after a week of "torement". =) Not that I don't want to shower people with God's love...it is difficult now that I'm going through it. Imagine the amount of grace, patience and love missionaries have. God help me...

A little more update for my friends back home and back in the "civilised" world (Johorians, I don't mean to insult=)). I spend my weekend in Singapore visiting Peter Lim who is about to leave for Scotland for training this 2nd of May. The level of humidity wasn't as I would like it to be-lower. I was practically sticky and sweaty the whole weekend. Fuyooh! Panas. Taman Universiti is small. Now I understand why my manager goes back to KL every weekend. I can't wait to go north. I'm going to decide this coming weekend which church I will stay put for the rest of my training schedule. Please pray my friends that I will find a suitable one. I need to be apart of the body of Christ. Loneliness isn't the best thing. More updates soon. Oh ya, I'm recovering from my flu/cold already. Thank you for your prayers. My Vietnamese colleague needs prayer now and soon all those I've come into contact with. Poor people. Till then. Signing off and going back to the my "padded cell" in Skudai. Thank God Jusco and Starbucks is just 5 minutes walk from the "padded cell". I will post pictures soon. Take care and God bless.
