I don't remember the national anthem, although I do think the perak song (if I remember correctly) is a little more upbeat and there's Malay and English version to that song. Besides that, I don't really think it's all that slow, because America's national anthem isn't all that upbeat either. Honestly, the lyrics to Malaysia's national anthem is deep (even though I don't remember specifically, I still remember somewhat) That's my thought.
