Pray

Got this sms from a close friend. Apparently, Pastor Ferdie Flores, a missionary to East Timor would be executed by beating tomorrow. I'm not sure how genuine is this piece of news. No matter what, please pray. He is from FGA as forwarded.

This is a rumour...thanx to those who took the initiative to check it up and inform all of us. Really appreciate it. Do continue to pray for the missionaries your church supports. God bless

Living in Malaysia has always been such a blessing as our government doesn't restrict non-muslims to worship any God of their choice. Lately, there is a awakening among our Muslim brothers and sisters...I somehow feel that the Christians in Malaysia will soon have to go through some degree of persecution. I pray that it would not be as bad as what is happening in Indonesia but if that is to happen, it is to glorify God. Bearing that in mind, I pray that our faith will not fade and fail. Pls pray for this region of South East Asia..God bless

this is a rumour. I am living in Timor Leste and have not heard news of a pastor to be beaten to death. I don't think there is such a capital punishment as "beaten to death". TL may be a young nation but not a barbaric one.

The sms message made the round in Nigeria. Exucution by beating is strange in history. Thank God its all rumour. However the spread of the gospel started with the shedding of the blood of Christ himself. We will continue to pray.

Missionaries are very much in need of prayers and support from all of us. If your church sponsors any, pray for them. Pray for all who are serving God in one way or another. Thanx. God bless

hi brothers and sister in Christ.

my name is SHANE BECKINGHAM

I just want to refer you to an UPDATE on Ps. Flores @ the FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH's Website - http://www.fbc-misawa.org/missionaries/Flores.htm

this church has been incontact with people closely connected to Ps. Flores & has confirmed that although he and his family are being PERSECUTED, he is NOT being EXECUTED.

So may we keep praying for Him and his family still! Praise God people are praying for them through all this! This has encouraged me in Prayer for the Nations :-)

You can check my blog to see more information about this - http://www.4myking.blogspot.com

I would think that maybe it is not a rumour spread on purpose but a miscommunication, PERSECUTION not EXECUTION...they sound almost the same. Thanx Shane for updating us. Like he said, do continue to pray.
