Merlion...The City is transforming

The city of Singapore is transforming so rapidly. I still could recognise the places that I've visited years ago. I was told about the Singapore Flyer, saw the skeleton of it. Singapore Flyer is similar to the ferris wheel one can find in London. Supposedly, it will be 45 storeys high so that one could see the entire city from up there. Not a novel idea but an pratical one. Disney is said to be coming in, another good one. Genting group has just won the contract to build a theme park on Sentosa Island which features Universal Studios. Many of these developments are not suitable for Malaysia/ KL because of the different geographical elements. Also, the town planning for Malaysia isn't anything to shout about. Alright more updates soon. Food review soon too. Especially food from Andre, a French rest. A preview-it was awesome...yummy..appetiser was foie gras with black sesame+mango salsa+a slice of japanese cucumber.

The Christmas Season

Xmas and Yuletide. These have been the terms used to describe this season. The season of celebration not only observed by the Christians but many others. These terms however are not consistent with the celebration of Christmas, the celebration of Christ's birth. By the way, have you ever thought of the meaning of Xmas and Yuletide?

Xmas. Many have told me not to use that term as it down plays Christ's significance. Is that true? I don't know. After reading this over at Wikipedia (I know some doubt its authenticity) I guess there is some truth in it.

Yuletide? Look here. Lazy to type it all out. The bottom line is this. It is the underlying meaning of Christmas that we all carry that matters most. It does not really matter if it is Xmas or Christmas but not Yuletide. I'm being very incoherent here, pardon me. I'm falling asleep, if that is a good excuse.

So, I'm taking this opportunity to wish all of you a Blessed Christmas this year. May the Lord stare at you always and grip you at all times. Nah!...May the Lord watch over you and embrace you in His assuring arms at all times. Jesus came, suffered, died and resurrected. He Lives...in some of us. Would you like Him to give you Life?

Cinta

Kisah 10 insan dalam 5 percintaan, satu tayangan...tetapi GSC (Golden Screen Cinema Summit USJ) tidak dapat menayangkannya sehingga ke akhir filem tersebut. Cis! Potong stim saja.

In English, I watched Cinta with my bro and Esther. What a combination? ahahah...

The movie was not bad at all. Infact I think it is a good Malaysian movie. Since Yasmin Ahmad's Sepet, Malaysian movies in that genre have been improving. Note, that genre only. I think it is in the indies category not those cheap (overspend) movies involving police and some fake ammunition. All Malaysians who think they are patriotic...no, all Malaysians and non-Malaysians alike who yearn to know and understand a little more of the struggles and culture of this nation of char kuey tiaus, satay and nasi kandar should watch it. The cinematography is good. Angles used were good. So many scenic frames were shown. As a photography enthusiast, I think some of those scenes were so beautiful and captivating. But...came the

POTONG STIM part...

Suddenly when it was the climax, the screen turn so dark that even the hantus can't see. Para para..sakura (no profanity mah) the voice of the actor suddenly became like talking robots reaching the junkyard. Then all you hear are only people voicing their disappointments. I sat there in the dark mumbling. In came the person in charge telling us that the projector had failed. Hello? we know that! Some middle aged man was shouting "refund double"while another claims his mother is the councillor of MPSJ (Subang Jaya Municipal Council) and his Rolex cost as much as RM40, 000 will publish it in the papers tomorrow (I'm waiting). Do you wanna get robbed? I got a Lolex which cost RM40 and I didn't make noise. Serious I used to wear an Alange U Sohne (German) which cost US$21, 000 but I got it from Shanghai for RM150. So whose has a higher perceived value? I think with so many scandals involving municipal councillors, she doesn't even want to entangle herself in a new one. Nvm, that aside.

I want to watch the ending of the movie!!!

After a long Silence...

After a lengthy silence, I so much to shout about. But I think I should only mention in brief about them.
1) IMYF Camp was good overall. All had fun. God had fun too, I suppose. =)
2) Travelling so extensively over the past 2-3 weeks isn't doing any benefits to my body.
3) A doctor sort of confirmed that the aching I've been feeling in my right ankle is caused by tears multiple ligaments. According to my cousin the physioterapist-to-be, it is quite serious. Today my Archilles Tendon hurts a little. I guess I've to fast from futsal and football indefinitely.
4) Shopped a little. Singapore's sales are better. Malaysian Mega Sales? A ripped off.
5) I'm finalising my graduation stuff within this week.
6) CYZ (campus youth zone) planning for 2007 went well. Glad.
7) I've been talking alot to a certain person but with very little verbal response (sick=no voice). Get well soon! I wanna hear from you... =)
8) Contemplating to either apply for jobs now or a little later.
9) This Christmas season is so packed but I'm not complaining. Please pray
10) I thank God for so many wonderful events and experiences thus far.

I'll leave you, my friends and readers with this quote from Auntie Juliet's Garden Cafe

"Problems are opportunities with thorns on them"
