Updates

This time around my holiday is shorter. Therefore, it is really packed with activities and I'm finding it hard to keep up with the activities. Perhaps I should have rested more. I'm down with acute pharyngitis. It sounds severe but it really isn't that severe except for the constant irritation and pain. Basically, it is sore throat plus the inflammation of ear and the some membrane in the nose. So what do you feel when you are down with these? The inside of my ear is swollen, it is painful even when eating. My throat is sore but it is recovering. Sleeping at night is a a nightmare even before sleeping. Both nose will be blocked so bad I can't breathe normally. My tonsils are fine. So, I told the doctor I'm going to Genting and he stared at me...hmmm...maybe I shouldn't go but I really wanna go despite not excited about it. I;m expecting something from the Leaders' Summit at Awana Genting. Please pray for me that the inflammation will reduce and I'll be healed while there. If it continues, the pressure from being at a higher land will make my ear worst, that's why the doctor stared at me. Otherwise, I'm alright.

Afterwards

I ended last semester on a rather weird note. Firstly, I didn't know the exam was 2 and half hours. I thought it was 2 hours and because of that wrong perception and my ignorance to even check the allocated time, I had to over pressure myself when I still have 45 minutes left. When I realised, I was already almost done with the paper but nevertheless, I slower my pace of scribbling some odd looking worms on the exam script.

Madam Kwan's. Day light robbery. No difference. We paid RM120.90 for rationing. Even the Africans get this treatment for free. Not fair. The serving for beef rendang was the size of my fist. The deep fried beancurd topped with meat floss was only a tube of Japanese toufu. The serving for the Kailan stir fried with garlic was so pathetically minute that it seems Malaysia is having a drought. Sweet and sour fish...hmmm..I think they used Guppy fish. Squid stir fried with onion. It was more like onion stir fried with squid. The strands of squid were lost in the forest of onions. Chinese tea, not siang pian or cha wang cost RM4 per person. We were served by non-Chinese waiters who know no nuts about Chinese cuisine. To top it off, the owner of this chain owns a multi million Ringgit house in Sieramas. I will start Ong's and undercut their price.

It would be better licking my newly purchased football boots. I'm going to test it out very soon. Hopefully I will review it. So, I'm back in Sitiawan. Upon entering this humble town, I was greeted by plastic-removable road dividers. To those who ridicule Sitiawan of only having one freaking traffic light and not needing to shift into third gear to reach another end of it, you are wrong. Now you will see and feel the need of driving a Porche down this roads and mind you, we have more traffic lights than Labuan have people. hahahaha...Enjoy while you can which you can always do..

Phew!!

A big sigh of relief as England took advantage of their speedy wingers and Beckham's signature crosses measured to an inch-perfect accuracy to book their place into the second round of the World Cup Germany 2006. Goals from the Liverpool duo of Crouch and Gerrard marked England's return to their winning ways. Greater news for English fans and worst of news to England's opponents. Rooney is back in action and already doing acrobatic scissors kicks.

Rusty in almost the whole game until Aaron Lennon, Wayne Rooney and Stewart Downing came on from the substitute's bench later in the game. England played pathetic football for 82 minutes but after Crouch's goal in the 83rd, England came to life. Trinidad and Tobago did gave England and her supporters their fare share of scares in both halves but England lived through them. Gerrard wrapped up the match in the 90+ minute. All goals courtesy of David Beckham. The magnificent England captain. *clap* *clap* *clap* England!!! Next target, Sweden!

Proton Neo

At last, I've been waiting for two long years to see Proton's SRM model roll out. It is said that the name would be Proton Neo. Funky name or fuzzy is my lecturer would to say it. Tomorrow the 16th of June is confirmed as the launch date. Make yourself available to witness sometime nice produced by Proton. To those who intend to purchase a car, consider this. Rumour have it that the 1.3 version will be priced at RM43,ooo while the 1.6 version at RM55,ooo. I hope for that price, they come standard with ABS and Airbags and hopefully EBD as optional. The meter console looks cool with fresh ideas from Proton through the usage of blue lightings. The 1.6 version uses 195/50R 16" tyres while 195/55R 15" (similar to Waja's) is fitted onto the 1.3 version. Both are Campro engines without cam profiling. Choise of colours are shown here.

The gear knob looks very sporty. On second thought, they look like the red ones in the Wira SE, don't they? Maybe not, it looks better with the alluminium finishing but I hope it doesn't feel plasticky. It is confirmed that the bling bling wheels will be used.

Final look at the rear end of the car. Click here to see more.

Maharani

Nicolette Louisa Palikat. That was the name that rocked the first Malaysian Idol competition. Yes, you didn't read it wrongly. She was the bomb. With her "loud" strong voice, she was easily the best bet to take the crown. The system is such that voters make their choices and choices are subjective. I would have wanted Nikki to win the competition because of her phenominal voice and ability to sing songs of various genres. Jaclyn Victor is good no doubt about it. Nikki and Jac are just two very different singers catering to very different segments of the market.

I want to get her album, titled Maharani. I adore her voice. Powerful and full-bodied. Fantastic! Here is a link to her website. NikkiMusic

Something

The Five Love Languages

My primary love languages are probably
Acts of Service and Quality Time.

Complete set of results

Acts of Service: 7
Quality Time: 7
Physical Touch: 6
Words of Affirmation: 6
Receiving Gifts: 4

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Take the quiz

Proton Desire

I hope that will not be the name of the Proton SRM (satria replacement model). It sounds....cissy! Check out the cool looking meter console. If you have passion for Proton cars or just simply wanna see how badly they will perform next through their next model launch then click here Desire. I can't wait to see this car. I've been waiting since last year! I hope Proton won't disappoint potential customers with low grade plastics and most importantly quality. I'm considering buying it with my dad's money ofcourse. haha...how considerate I am as a son. Hey, I'm trying to contribute to the economy making it more robust with a RM 50K+ expenditure. See below for spypics of the SRM taken, I believe at the Proton plant at Shah Alam. Black's hot, orange's cool, silver is..hmmmm...Daring to Dare

World Cup 2006 Germany

The first match of the 2006 Germany World Cup has just ended. It was a goals galore. The final results favouring Germany, the host nation 4-2. Defeating Costa Rica by that result may look impressive. The truth is, Germany played badly at the back. It seems almost everytime the Costa Rican players especially Paulo Wanchop gets a chance at goal, he breaks through the defence with ease. Blunders from the defence left Jens Lehman with no choice but to let in 2 goals. Hold on a minute. Earlier yesterday, Lehman commented on England saying they don't posses the knowhow to win the most revered cup. Well, tonite he ate his own foot. Lehman is also one of the few lemons in the team.

Their blunders which also shows their weakness will be carefully taken advantaged off by bigger teams later in the knockout stages, if they can qualify. Poland will face them next and this would an exciting test to see if they really have a big and worrying problem. Attacking wise, Germany poses one of the most complete and fluid team. The shocking inclusion of Odonker into the team proved to be useful since he has the speed. He has a personal best of 10.90sec for the century sprint. Constantly putting to shame Malaysia's sprinters. Lahm did well with his overlapping runs as a fullback down the left bank. Excellent players. Frings' goal was magnificent. It was a thunderous blast from outside the box barely missing the finger tips of Porras.

There you go. The short commentary of the match. Tomorrow's match at 9pm is worth watching even it is exam period. It will be England vs Paraguay. Fingers crossed, England to trash Paraguay 4-1. Owen 1, Crouch "the Crane" 1, J. Cole 1, Beckham 1 and for Paraguay anyone, doesn't matter.

Vindicated

Oh! The LORD God is good!

He never fails to impress me of His grace and love. He so often assures me of His love. Although I've sin so frequently, He didn't once left in the darkness to die. He instead picked me up. As if I've not been blamed at all for the sins I've committed. I'm vindicated.

I felt bad for I've sinned. I asked God for His forgiveness and praised Him for He is gracious and for His unconditional love. I felt the devil has been constantly tempting me. I took authority over myself in the name of Jesus and I proclaimed that I belong to Jesus. While I was still praying with the Bible in my hand, I saw as my eyes were still closed a verse, Zechariah 3:2.

I believe the Lord wanted to show me something very profound. I turned to it and there were the words of the LORD (read it). Earlier when I was praying, I rebuked the devil telling him, he has no business with a child of God. And here in this verse, God spoke of the same while refering to Joshua. I am like Joshua. We are like Joshua.

I read through the whole chapter and the Lord spoke to me today regarding forgiveness and newness of life. The Bible also calls us "a new creation". We are a new creation in God through Christ Jesus. Righteous we are not, but righteousness we receive from the Lord. Here in Zechariah 3, Joshua was given new clothes and a new turban to replace his filthy clothes. In the same manner I felt the Lord has given me a new life making me a new creation in Him. I'm so blessed.

So profound are the words of God. Vindicated, that is what I feel right now. I'm vindicated because Christ took on the sins of the world to the Cross of Calvary. We have been redeemed. Victorious we stand. We may lost a battle but Jesus has won the war over death. "Oh death where is thy sting?"

Jesus lover of our souls

Jesus lover of my soul
Jesus I will never let you go
You've taken me
from the miry clay
and You've set my feet
upon the Rock
and now I know

I love You
I need You
Though my world fall
I'll never let You go
My Saviour
My closest Friend
and I will worship You
until the very end

for by Grace you have been saved through Faith, and that not of yourselves;
it is the Gift of GOD,
not of works, lest anyone should boast.
*Ephesians 2:8-9*

Jesus the lover of our souls gave His life for us by suffering not only on the cross but all the way to the cross. This suffering of our Lord and Saviour brought forth a gift. The priceless gift of life. It is a gift that we may receive freely so that we do not have to boast in works that we think bought us salvation. Salvation belongs to our God, given to us through faith by the grace of God. Without grace, it would be impossible for us to be redemeed from death which is the result of sin. But this grace should not be received in vain (2 Corinthians 6:1[We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.])
